In the 2023 Las Vegas Grand Prix, Mercedes-AMG Petronas F1 Team experienced a mixed performance. Despite showing good pace, they faced multiple setbacks throughout the race. Lewis Hamilton was involved in an early collision with Carlos Sainz, which caused him to lose positions, and later suffered a puncture after contact with Oscar Piastri. Meanwhile, George Russell also faced difficulties, receiving a five-second time penalty after a clash with Max Verstappen, which effectively ruined his chances for a podium finish.

Despite these challenges, both drivers showed competitive speed during the race. Russell's qualifying performance placed him in a strong position (4th), and Hamilton demonstrated good pace in the race, though contact with other drivers hampered his final result. Mercedes' performance in Las Vegas highlighted the team's continued pace, particularly on the hard tires, although they struggled with tire graining compared to Ferrari. Ultimately, both drivers finished outside the top positions, with Hamilton in 7th and Russell in 8th.
